The Scriptures

• The scriptures are the written, and Holy Spirit inspired Word of God.

• The scriptures are absolute, infallible, and the final authority for believers and the Church.

• The scriptures center around the Lord Jesus Christ in His person and work, His first and second coming. Even in the Old Testament, no portion is correctly read or understood without the scriptures leading us to Him.

• The scriptures are designed for practical instruction.

The Triune God

• There is only one true God. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature.

• God is sovereign.

• God is holy.

• God is the creator of everything.

God The Father

• God, the Father, reigns over His entire universe with providential care.

• God, the Father, is all-powerful, all-loving, all-knowing, and all-wise.

• God is fatherly in attitude toward all men but is Father, indeed, to those who have become children of God through Jesus Christ, who will deliver them into the Father’s hands.

God The Son

• The Lord Jesus Christ is God.

• The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father.

• The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.

• The Lord Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to reveal God and redeem sinful man.

• The Lord Jesus Christ redeemed man by voluntarily giving Himself as a sinless, substitutionary sacrifice on the cross to satisfy God’s righteous judgment against sin.

• The Lord Jesus Christ was bodily and physically resurrected from the grave.

• The Lord Jesus Christ ascended to the right hand of The Father, where He intercedes on behalf of those who trust in Him.

God The Holy Spirit

• The Holy Spirit is God.

• The Holy Spirit convicts each person of sin.

• The Holy Spirit brings new life to those who are spiritually dead.

• The Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into the one true church, the Body of Christ.

• The Holy Spirit permanently indwells and seals all believers unto the final day of redemption.

• The Holy Spirit bestows spiritual gifts to all believers.

• The Holy Spirit fills and controls those who are yielding to Him.

• The Holy Spirit empowers believers for service in the kingdom of God.

Creation

• God created the heavens and the earth, including all life and man.

• Man was created by God.

• Man was created in the image of God.

The Fall of Man

• Man created in the image of God fell into sin and is lost.

• Man must be born again by the Holy Spirit to be in right standing and relationship with God.

• Man cannot see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again by the Holy Spirit.

Atonement for Sins & The Resurrection

• The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice.

• All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross, His bloodshed, are redeemed.

• The Lord Jesus Christ’s crucified body was physically resurrected from the dead.

• The Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven.

• The Lord Jesus Christ is sitting at the Father's right hand in His glorified body.

• The Lord Jesus Christ is our High Priest and Advocate.

• There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.

• The bodies of the righteous will conform to the glorious spiritual body of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation

• Salvation cannot be gained or made more secure by human works or efforts.

• Salvation is a free gift from God.

• Salvation is freely given to all who put their faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.

• All who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, are forgiven of their sins and are born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism

• Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water.

The Lord’s Supper

• The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, preceded by solemn self-examination.

The Great Commission

• The Lord Jesus Christ instructed every believer, the Church, to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every person, baptizing and teaching those who believe.

Living & Walking with God

• We are called to keep the flesh in subjection to our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust and desires of the flesh.

• The desires of the flesh will never be eradicated in this life.

• Allowing our flesh to manifest its presence in our lives is a great dishonor to our Lord.
